loved reading your publication as always!! you just write so perfectly and it really seemed as if i was reading pages of a book, really beautiful. i love how you write about “deeper” arguments starting by observations you had about the world around you. thanks for the recommendations and “my brilliant friend” it’s a fantastic novel! i’ve read it two summers ago in italian and i’ve adored it! i’m planning to re-read it in these months!!

you're too kind ;_; sometimes i wonder if anyone wants to read these more diaristic entries, but the experience was too lovely not to share.

re: "my brilliant friend" – i'm so curious what the differences between the italian and english versions are! ferrante is so good at getting inside the heads of the characters and i wonder how accurately those same feelings are translated between different languages

i absolutely love your writing style in this pieces, it’s so intimate and it really feels as if i am in your head, experiencing your thoughts. it’s beautiful.

i wonder too!! reading it in italian was truly an experience because of the presence of neapolitan dialect phrases, which had a strong impact and realism. and i agree with you! i think ferrante is one of the best writer of our time, she’s fantastic!
